Rif, Morocco

The mountainous arc of the Rif accompanies, over 250 km; the Mediterranean coast, from Tangier to the Algerian border. With the Jbel Tidirhine, which culminates at 2450m, its morphological palette is particularly varied. The steep cliffs plunge into the sea, the ledges overlook jagged coves.

Facing south, the mountain descends in stages towards the Sebou basin, gradually giving way to livestock and cultivation. Everywhere grows olive trees, mastic trees, brooms, heather and hemp.

One of the most beautiful sites in the region is undoubtedly the caves of Hercules, at Cape Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.
