high-atlas, Morocco

This mountain range stretches over 800 km from the Atlantic to the eastern plateaus. A real barrier, it marks the break between the verdant valleys of the north and those almost desert of the south. With its eternal snow, the Toubkal is one of the highest mountains in Africa whose summit, the highest in Morocco, culminates at 4167m. The Dades Valley (The Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs), and the Draa Valley are real oases.
